Tampa Bay Injury Attorney Catherine Rinaldo

Catherine Rinaldo is a tireless advocate for people injured in accidents due to another's fault.

As a teenager while attending  H. B. Plant High School, Ms. Rinaldo entered the legal arena when she was hired as an office clerk for one of the preeminent female attorneys in the State of Florida, Ann Loughridge Kerr, Esquire.

Ms. Rinaldo attended the University of South Florida and finished her undergraduate degree at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1981.  While attending George Washington, she worked on Capitol Hill as a staff assistant for the House Subcommittee on Transportation and Tourism which at that time crafted the Super Fund and Railroad Deregulation bills.

In 1982, Ms. Rinaldo enrolled at Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana earning her Juris Doctorate in 1985.  While in law school, she clerked for District Attorney Harry Connick, Sr., assisting in the prosecution of crimes against the citizens of New Orleans.  She was also the first female law clerk hired by the New Orleans Sewage and Water Board.

Prior to her final year of law school, she was awarded a summer fellowship with the Department of Justice, Civil Division in Washington, D.C., where she assisted in the defense of civil claims filed against the United States Government.

As a young attorney, Mrs. Rinaldo worked for an insurance defense firm representing insurance industry giants such as USF&G, Liberty Mutual, State Farm, and Allstate defending negligence claims brought against their insureds.  This work gave Ms. Rinaldo valuable insight into the factors which go into evaluating claims, providing her with the skills necessary to maximize  the monetary value of her clients' personal injury cases.

She next worked for a large plaintiffs' firm which solicited clients through television and billboard advertising. This impersonal and volume approach motivated Mrs. Rinaldo, in 1995, to form a law firm based on quality, personal service and referral based growth.

Mrs. Rinaldo served on Ethics Committee 1A of the Florida Bar and is a former member of the William Terrell Inns of Court.

She is a member of the following:

  • Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals
  • United States District Court
  • Middle District of Florida
  • Florida Bar Association
  • Hillsborough County Bar Association
  • Florida Justice Association

She is the author of several articles designed to help injured people and an upcoming book:  Value Added Personal Injury:  How to Enhance the Value of Your Case.  She is a member of the Biltmore Who's Who of Professional and Executive Women.

Ms. Rinaldo is active in the community.  She is a former Girl Scout leader and parish council member for Christ the King Catholic Church in Tampa, Florida.
